The untitled proof-of-concept twine mural was hand-twisted from repurposed fabric strips, demonstrating how simple materials can be elevated into collective art. First installed on the exterior wall of the TRAX Visual Art Center during ArtFields 2022 and later relocated to the Greater Lake City Community Resource Center, the mural showed how handmade, repurposed craft can foster mindfulness, cooperation, and transformation of space.
Developed as part of Emily’s University of Florida Arts in Medicine practicum and expanded through her 2023 capstone research, the project remains a touchstone for exploring how mindful making supports well-being and strengthens community connection.
