The Ties That Bind Asheville is a durational, participatory public art project that began at the Community Gathering of Grief & Joy in May 2025, curated by Kristen Idhe of Enspiraré. Participants tie fabric strips to fences, mesh forms, or mobile frames, attaching grief, joy, and memory to a shared installation. The project now spans multiple activations across Asheville, including the primary location on Riverside Drive in the River Arts District, Warren Wilson College, Local Cloth, and Allon Health & Wellness.
